Almost all the world's internet is hosted by major datacenters owned by Amazon, Microsoft, and others. Decentralize the datacenter by hosting your own server at home to contribute compute and storage capacity to the Threefold grid.  The Threefold grid is a layer 0 solution where any workload can be deployed, not just storage, but VM's, Kubernetes, and all the vital backbones to the modern internet.

Purchasing a CERTIFIED 3node adds secure capacity to the TFgrid by being restricted to running a verified ZeroOS image. This 3node earns approximately 1300 TFT per month for a period of 5 years, at which time rates can reevaluated. The earnings do not change with network size or token price. TFT is a utility token used to reserve space on 3nodes, read about the tokenomics here.

The Emperor is a massively powerful 3node.  Increasing the power from this level would result in a much larger and more expensive machine, without any benefit to ROI due to diminishing returns per $. If you wish to earn earn more TFT/month, you should dedicate about 50mbps of your internet connection per Emperor.

The Emperor 3node is optimized to provide high quality capacity to the Threefold network without occupying a lot of space, creating annoying noise, or consuming much energy (~23W at idle).  By being centered around an extremely well-ventilated compact desktop form factor, thermal throttling is not a concern.  Additionally, a large PSU and a free PCIe slot is intended to support the future addition of GPU computational capacity, increasing monthly TFT rewards*. Take a step towards supporting a decentralized internet by hosting your own 3node server at your home, business, or anywhere else with a wired internet connection.

Note that with the maturation of the network, a mandatory uptime requirement and TFT lockup period will be enacted, but not currently.
